Open Question: can i switch my samsung phone to another plan?
i bought a phone to go with the prepaid straighttalk plan walmart has but it suuuucks. i am every day for most of the day having issues trying to get service. i cant send or get texts or calls right. it just decides not to work until it feels like it sometimes hours later. its ridiculous. so im wondering if i can buy a different prepaid cellular plan and keep this phone. this is the phone: the samsung SCH-R451C. seen here: http://www.phonesir.com/images/phones/Samsung-SCH-R451C.jpg
Open Question: please help: used phone question?
I am a college student and I recently broke my second phone in 2 years…My parents are not pleased. Last time this happened our contract was up for renewal so I was able to get one of the cheaper phones for a penny or something but that isn’t the case now so I need to buy myself a new phone. Since I am pretty much broke, I was looking into buying a used phone on ebay and transferring the sim card…Until I found out that US Cellular doesnt have sim cards. Is this true and is there any way I can get a used phone and get it on my parents’ plan? Or do I need to perhaps get my own plan?

Open Question: I’m looking to buy somebody’s LG Dare?
This is kind of two questions in one:
1) Does anybody know if US Cellular will let me switch my phone number to an LG Dare (formerly with Verizon)?
2) The guy I’m getting this phone from says “I charged it all night and had a 10 minute conversation before it died. The funny thing is that if you turn it off for like 2 minutes and then turn it back on it will show full battery again and you can keep doing this until the phone is completely dead.” How would I fix this problem? Is it just a simple battery switch or is it something deeper/more technical?
Also, I’ve read the reviews for this phone online and they seem pretty good, but I was wondering what Y!A users think about it.
