I have a Us cellular cell phone and im out of town and they dont have us cellular out here only tmoblie and other cell phone carriers. My phone just recently broke and i cant order a new one because of that reason so i was wondering if i can buy a tmobile phone from like ebay or some website similar and use my number to the us cellular phone and have the number and phone infor switched to the tmobile phone?? Many people say that “if you can dream it, you can do it”. As human technology improves from year to year, it seems that this statement is becoming increasingly appropriate for describing modern society. One of the most notable technological advances is the evolution of the mobile phone, also known as the cell phone. In 1984, the first mobile cellular phone was made available by Motorola. This was extremely heavy and some people used a briefcase to carry it around!

Next came a range of rapidly decreasing in size ‘fashion phones’, first including games, then cameras, the internet and finally, with the launch of the i-Phone in 2007, a range of applications with which you have basically anything and everything at your fingertips.

Mobile phones have improves our lives in many ways. You can contact anyone at anytime, find out any information you wish to know or download and play your favorite games, musics, ringthones and pictures. Everything in life becomes quicker and more accessible when using the last mobile phone.

The National Statistical Office indicates that the number of people using cell phones are 36.5million, or 76% rate of the total population of Korea 50 million people. Actually, I could hardly see a person who doesn’t have any cell phone. Even the most elementary school students have a cell phone.

These instances suggest that cell phones have become that much a necessaries of our life. After all, we have to choose cell phones carefully. Thus, to buy a suitable cell phone, we need to understand cell phone types. We can divide cell phones into four types: slide, flip, folder, touch screen.

The first type of cell phone is the slide. Slide phone means that the way to open is the literally slide style. Therefore, the appearance of the outside is all LCD. Besides, the LCD part moves up and down or right and left centering around the key pad. In addition, there are several kinds of slide phones. First, most kinds of slide phones are semi-automated have moving LCD’s in common. The other kinds of slide phones are spin slide where the LCD revolves around the key pad and moves the LCD right and left. Lastly, a slide phone has several merits and faults. Slide phones are useful to answer the phone call with quick opening and they have simple and cute designs. On the other hand, slide phones have some weak points like easily damaged LCD panels because the panels are located on the outside. Therefore, slide phones have some characteristics, strength and weakness.

Flip phone is one of the other types of cell phones. Different from other cell phones, the flip phone has some unique characteristics. In fact, the initial cell phone in Korea was a flip phone that launched in 1989. So, it is the originator of cell phones. Furthermore, flip phones are only, 10% of the market share, since 2000. There are also two kinds of flip phones.

The first kind of flip phone is one with a cover on the key pad. The second kind of flip phone is the bar type. In addition, flip phone has several merits and faults. Flip phones have very strong points like being super slim and convenient. Thus, you can even put them into your chest pocket and still answer the phone within a second. Then again, too simple design and short distance from speaker to microphone are demerits. As you see, the preferences of flip phone, including bar types, are increasing more and more, and we can know about some characteristics, strengths and weakness.

The third type of cell phone is the folder. Folder phone means that we can fold the cell phone in two. Therefore, the LCD is opposite the key pad. In addition, the size is doubled when it unfolds. Moreover, not all folder phones are created equally.

First of all, folder phones can be divided into dual folder or not. Dual folder means that it has a small LCD outside. Secondly, some folder phones can be divided into laid across folder which means that the LCD can be laid across for seeing widely. In addition, folder phones also have its merits and faults like the others. In opposition to the slide, the LCD is protected. Furthermore, folder phones fit the distance from ear to mouth well, so it’s easy to talk. No matter how, great folder phones have some faults like big size, heavy weight, and difficultly to open. Thus, folder phones that can be folded in two can protect an LCD from some scratch and dent, but it’s a little heavy, and inconvenient.

The last of cell phone’s style is a touch screen style as the i-phone. Cell phones with touch screens eliminate the traditional keypad or keyboard for an interactive screen that responds to human touch. Touch screen phones often have very large display areas, including interactive menus and a virtual QWERTY keyboard. Also, we can write a text massage, draw on the screen.
