Open Question: how to get 3g to work on iphone 4s?
I bought an iPhone 4s from my local service provider. The phone says that I have 3g, but when i open an internet-linked application the phone says: “could not activate cellular data network” “cannot connect to iTunes Store/cannot open page” please help!
Open Question: How can I permanently remove wifi from an android smartphone?
I want to upgrade from an old Palm Pilot to Android, but I do not want the distraction of internet service available all the time.
I will not activate a contract, so cellular internet is not an issue, but I want one without WiFi.
I am considering buying a broken phone (probably a Droid, Galaxy, etc.) on eBay, and fixing it myself, IF I could remove the WiFi antenna or chip in the process.
Can anyone tell me if this is possible, and how to do it?
If not, are there any devices without wifi built in? This is not my preferred option, because I really want one with the newer features (eg HD camera, processor speed, etc.)
I haven’t been able to find any with broken wifi on eBay, but I would be interested if one is available.
Before you comment: I understand the limitations of a device without internet, but I’m upgrading from a much more limited system, and I’ve done the research on what features I need.
