Two days ago, I sold a phone i found at a park to some random person over craigslist. Now today, she calls me and leaves a voice mail saying that the phone is stolen, and she wants her money back. She says if I don’t return her call, she will call the cops on me.
She has my email address, and my cell phone number, can she place charges on me? I did not know that the phone was stolen and I sold it because I had no use for it.
The thing is, I don’t want to return the money back, since I already sold it and she already bought it, can someone with knowledge of this topic answer this? Thanks
Open Question: making phone calls in Europe?
I will be traveling from the US to England, Paris, Germany, and Austria. I called my cell-phone provider (Verizon Wireless) and they told me that my cellphone was not a global phone and could not be used over in Europe to make calls. They currently do not offer plans to make calls internationally without a global enabled phone. I asked them how much their cheapest global phone was and they said $200. I only need a cell for one month. Is it easier to buy a pre-paid phone when I get to London or what?
