Open Question: How do I switch from US Cellular to AT&T without paying the termination fees?
I want to switch to AT&T from US Cellular because with AT&T I can use my phone in Mexico(i go there a lot) but I dont want to pay for the termination fees from US Cellular what do I do? Open Question: I saw a new unlocked Samsung Finesse phone on Ebay will this work for Straight Talk (a prepaid service)?
I saw a new unlocked Samsung FInesse phone on Ebay and I need to know if this will work on Straight Talk (a prepaid service that works on the verizon network). Here is what the ebay add said, “This is a completely generic/unlocked phone (not tied to any specific carrier). It could be used on any RSA-type carrier though (i.e. Cellular South, nTelos, Cellcom, Appalachian Wireless, Bluegrass Cellular, Pocket, etc.)”. I am not sure what an RSA-type carrier is. They did mention in the ad that it is CDMA which verizon is. Will this work for straight talk? Also will straight talk be getting new touch screen type phones? My verizon plan doesnt end unitl next March and I al already looking for a prepaid plan to start next March.

I have also been going around and around with Verizon about the bad service that they have been given me. I am a former alltel customer and they merged with verizon last fall. I need to know if there is any way to get out of the contract without paying the $200 ETF. I made the contract in good faith with alltel because I had been with them for years and never had a problem. I had no clue that the merge was coming. I have been with verizon about 6 months and I have about a year left on the contract. I dont think I should have to pay the ETF since I signed with alltel and not verizon. I never wanted to have anything to do with verizon.
Also Straight talk is CDMA only not GSM. I dont know that much about it, but thats what I read online. Basically it works on the verizon network, but its a prepaid service. Its basically verizon meets tracfone
The ebay ad also says, “Samsung SCH r810 Finesse – cellular phone – CDMA2000 1X”. Straight Talk has Samsung Finesse (r810) for sale on their site, but the ebay one is unlocked and not tied to any service. I would be able to get it for a fraction of the price.
