Open Question: Can you use a Consumer Cellular SIM card in a Prepaid phone?
Consumer Cellular is cheap but the only problem is that the phones aren’t that good. So I’m wondering if I could switch the SIM card and put it into a prepaid phone such as a AT&T GoPhone. I was thinking of getting the black LG Neon GoPhone and replacing the SIM card with a Consumer Cellular SIM card. Can you do this?
Open Question: Cell Phone turning off by itself?
From time to time, my LG U.S. Cellular phone turns off by itself. The battery is fully charged when this happens & also does it with a half charge. I use this phone for my wake up alarm & it works very well. Sometimes it shuts off while in my carry case & other times while on charge, & even after I go to bed at night. It gives no warning. I’ve taken it into the service center & they suggested I buy another battery, & I did but still the same thing. This doesn’t happen very often, maybe twice a year, but it’s still anoying.Any ideas??? Thanks!
Open Question: can I use chargers from Israel (220V) in Canada (110V) without a converter?
I have chargers for cellular phone, iPod, digital camera, haircut machine from Israel which run on 220V, I suppose. amazingly enough I can’t find anywhere a converter that converts from 110V to 200V. I did find the other way, though and it was like 50$, so I think even if I do find one I won’t buy it. somebody told me that I can use 220V appliances with 110V sockets. they will just work more slowly. since I just need to charge I don’t care. I also read on the internet about some difference in the frequency (50 Hz against 60 Hz) but I didn’t understand how important it is. so the question is: can I harm my appliances by plugging them in? will they just not be charged or will everything be just fine?
